He has been invited to perform at the SELU Chapter of the NAACP February 23, 2011. Feb. 25th open for Foxx and the Trill family in the kickoff of free Boosie concert. He also will perform on February 26, 2011 at the Real Talk Magazine Music Confernce in Mobile, Alabama. Rico Got'em performing at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Spring Break 2011 April 8-10.
Rico Gotem was also nominated and for the top ten 2010 artist of the year in NYC. He brought home 5th place at the EHMP Awards on Dec. 15, 2010. He was nominated on Oct. 19, 2010 NOLA Hip Hop hottest new artist of the year and best collaboration of the year, with his hit single "Can't Hold Me Down" ft Blair Taylor. We released his single October 20, 2010.
As recently as January 7, 2011 he was guest performer at his alma mater Salmen High School in Slidell, La., where he received an Award of Appreciation from the Voice Club.
